Description
	We give a short expository account of the classical theorem of Eisenstein, and present some recent results about power series satisfying the Eisenstein condition. These results show that: 1. the coefficients of such power series enjoy certain asymptotic properties 2. such power series assume transcendental or rational values at rational points.
