Infertility, especially in the older animal, is one of the most wasteful and economically devastating problems of the livestock industry. In the majority of cases, tile food-producing animals should be culled. There are, however, many genetically superior females which become infertile due to uterine or oviductal diseases or the old age, and in many instances embryo transfer technique can be used to obtain additional progeny from such animals. -

Southern Thailand is a region of fascinating contrasts between cultures (Malay and Thai), religions (Muslim and Buddhist), economies (fishing, paddy and swidden farming, and plantations of rubber and coconut trees), and environments (coastal/inland, lowland/highland, natural/anthropogenic, sacred/secular). This paper reports on the progress of an ongoing multidisciplinary team study comparing coastal and interior pairs of adjacent Muslim and Buddhist villages through examining how ecology, nutrition, subsistence, economy, society, and religion are related to terrestrial wildlife exploitation. -
การทอผ้าไหมที่ตำบลพุมเรียงเป็นอาชีพของชาวไทยมุสลิมที่ได้สืบทอดความรู้จากบรรพบุรุษ ซึ่งอพยพเข้ามาตั้งถิ่นฐานในบริเวณตำบลพุมเรียงตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยา เทคนิคขั้นตอนการทอผ้าไม่มีการบันทึกเป็นลายลักษณ์อักษร แต่จะเรียนรู้โดยธรรมชาติ จากการสังเกตและทดลองปฏิบัติจริง อาศัยความสามารถในการจดจำจากผู้สอนซึ่งมีความชำนาญแล้วปฏิบัติสืบต่อกันมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงทำให้สามารถรักษาศิลปะการทอผ้าไหมยกดอกเอาไว้ได้จนถึงปัจจุบัน -
Brine shrimp (Artemia sp.) culture experiment in waste water from shrimp farming was operated for 37 days without water circulation and aeration supply. Six circular concrete tanks of 350 l were used. The prior period of the experiment was designed without water exchange to study the difference in water quality between two treatments. The one was control, designed without Artemia, and the other one was stocked at a density of 100 individuals/l (pre-adult stage). Three replications were conducted for each treatment. The results showed the significant (p<0.05) difference in pH, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, orthophosphate, total phosphate, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand (BOD), chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and chlorophyll c content. -
การทำไม้อัดจากไม้ยางพาราจำเป็นต้องนำไม้ไปผ่านการอาบน้ำยา เพื่อป้องกันแมลงและเชื้อราเสียก่อน โดยกรรมวิธีจุ่มแล้วหมักไม้บางในสารละลายของสารประกอบโบรอน (Boron compounds) หรือกรรมวิธีการผสมสารละลายของสารประกอบโบรอนในกาวที่ใช้ผลิตไม้อัด การวิจัยครั้งนี้กระทำขึ้นเพื่อหาความเข้มข้นของสารประกอบโบรอน ระยะเวลาที่ใช้หมัก และกรรมวิธีที่ใช้ ว่ามีผลต่อค่าการติดกาวของไม้อัดมากน้อยเพียงไร ศึกษาว่าการแทรกซึมของสารประกอบโบรอนและปริมาณกรดโบริกที่เข้าไปในไม้บางมีมากน้อยแค่ไหน นอกจากนี้ยังศึกษาถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการผลิตเป็นอุตสาหกรรมด้วย -
The goal of this study is to generalize the concept of a convergence to infinity in the real field R to Banach lattices. Many possible definitions of a convergence to infinity in Banach lattices were presented. Moreover, a natural criterion was defined to determine the best possible definition for generalization. -
ทำการสังเคราะห์ผลึกตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาที่มีโครงสร้างภายในแบบตะแกรงร่อนรูปร่างโมเลกุลประเภทซีโอไลท์ ต่อจากตอนที่ 1 ตัวแปรเงื่อนไขที่ศึกษาในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ อัตราการเพิ่มอุณหภูมิ ช่วงระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการสังเคราะห์ผลึก และภาวะความเป็นกรดเป็นต่างของของผสม โดยมีอัตราส่วนเชิงโมลของ Si/Al แปรเปลี่ยนระหว่าง 40-400 ความดันเริ่มต้น = 3 atg ได้นำผลิตภัณฑ์ผลึกที่สังเคราะห์ไปตรวจวัดหาคุณสมบัติต่าง ๆ เช่น รูปแบบทางโครงสร้างโดย X-ray diffraction รูปร่างและขนาดโดย Scanning electron microscope การยึดเกาะของ Si และ Al ภายในโครงสร้างโดยวิธี Infrared absorption -
This article may be entitled as "Ordinary Methods in Iodine Technology." Because of its ordinariness, strongly supported by social mobilization and Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) education, people can do and use it. For continuity, it cannot depend solely on salt; water is to be included at all times at least while waiting for salt. Although salt is the ultimate goal but water is itself an IDD education tool because it requires teaching demonstrations. Therefore both water and salt have to be focused. -
งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาคติความเชื่อและรูปแบบของ “ยักษ์” จากประติมากรรมที่พบในประเทศไทย โดยศึกษาตั้งแต่สมัยศิลปแบบทวารวดีจนถึงสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ จากหลักฐานศิลปโบราณวัตถุที่อยู่ในพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ ทั้งในส่วนกลางและในบางจังหวัดส่วนภูมิภาค รวมทั้งโบราณสถานและวัดต่าง ๆ ทำให้ทราบว่ารูปแบบของยักษ์ที่พบจากประติมากรรมในประเทศไทย มีแนวโน้มว่าได้รับอิทธิพลทางศิลปกรรมมาจากประเทศอินเดีย เขมร และจีน แต่รูปแบบทางศิลปะของยักษ์ในประเทศไทยมีรายละเอียดที่แตกต่างไปจากรูปยักษ์ที่พบในอินเดียและประเทศใกล้เคียง ทั้งนี้คงเนื่องจากความเหมาะสมของแต่ละท้องถิ่น -
Many Thai workers returning from the Middle East countries are suffered from leishmaniasis which is one of the important epidemic diseases in the world. Suspicious cases are still in the native districts and may cause the spread of this disease in Thailand. -

Superabsorbent polymer was synthesized by using native cassava starch. Cassava starch was chemically modified into poly (starch-g-acrylonitrile) under a grafting copolymerization of acrylonitrile onto the 80°C gelatinized starch via a redox initiation mechanism using Ce(IV) as initiator in an acid medium. In addition to the cassava starch-g-acrylonitrile, a homopolymer of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) was a by-product which was later removed by extraction with dimethyl-formamide. -
Six lines of mungbean were crossed in a diallel manner to obtain 15 direct and 15 reciprocal F-crosses. They were planted in dry and late rainy seasons to observe for seed yield. 1,000-seed weight, number of seeds/pod and number of pods/plant. The analyses of variance revealed that all 6 parental lines expressed diversity in both dry and rainy seasons in terms of seed yield/unit area and 1,000-seed weight. Number of seeds/pod showed statistical different only in the dry season while number of pods/plant was significant in the rainy season. -
This study is concerned with the links between the university education and the labour markets of the graduates by observing them in connection with the changing environments. The aggregated labour market was subdivided into three submarkets: the public sector, the private sector, and the self-employment. The employer and employee surveys were conducted to investigate in more details about the structures and behavior of the samples of the employed graduates in all three labour markets. -

การสังเคราะห์ผลึกตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาที่มีโครงสร้างภายในแบบตะแกรงร่อนรูปร่างโมเลกุลประเภทซีโอไลท์ โดยวิธีการเกิดผลึกอย่างเร็ว จากการศึกษาพบว่า ผลึกตะแกรงร่อนโมเลกุลที่สังเคราะห์ได้มีรูปแบบทางโครงสร้างที่เรียกว่า ZSM-5 type ซึ่งสามารถสังเคราะห์ได้โดยไม่ต้องใช้สารก่อโครงร่าง แต่อัตราการเกิดผลึกจะช้า ขนาดและรูปร่างมีความสม่ำเสมอน้อยกว่าการใช้สารก่อโครงร่าง -
Most of bentonite are imported with high price, although there are many sources of bentonite in Thailand but none of them have been investigated for pharmaceutical purposes. Therefore, it is interesting to study the development of Thai bentonite in order to be able to utilize domestic resource with lower cost. In this study, two samples of Thai bentonite were investigated by comparing with United Kingdom bentonite on quality and possibility for pharmaceutical uses. -

We give a short expository account of the classical theorem of Eisenstein, and present some recent results about power series satisfying the Eisenstein condition. These results show that: 1. the coefficients of such power series enjoy certain asymptotic properties 2. such power series assume transcendental or rational values at rational points. -

Twenty five samples covering all the colours were taken from mural paintings at Maitepnimit Temple for study. Methods of the investigation involved the microscopical examination of the pigments and of the cross-sections of the samples. The inorganic pigments were analysed by microscopical chemical tests or by electron probe microanalysis with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer and further identified by X-ray diffraction method with the help of Guinier-Hagg type focussing powder camera. The organic pigments were identified by thin-layer chromatography, high pressure liquid chromatography, and mass spectroscoру methods. -
การทดลองเตรียมผ้าโพลิเอสเตอร์ก่อนย้อมด้วยสีไดเรกท์โดยวิธีใช้เปอร์คลอโรเอทิลีน วิธีไฮโดรลิซิสด้วยโซดาไฟ และวิธีใช้โพลิเอไมด์เรซิน พบว่าการเตรียมผ้าทั้งสามวิธีนี้ทำให้ผ้าโพลิเอสเตอร์สามารถย้อมติดด้วยสีไดเรกท์ได้ และการใช้โพลิเอไมด์เรซินในการเตรียมผ้าโพลิเอสเตอร์เพื่อย้อมสีไดเรกท์เป็นวิธีการที่เหมาะสมที่สุด -
การตรวจหาปริมาณสารที่อาจเป็นอันตรายชนิดต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ เมทานอล อะเซตาลดีไฮด์ ฟูเซลออยล์ ตะกั่ว เหล็ก และทองแดงในสุราเถื่อนและสุราทั่ว ๆ ไปจำนวน 181 ตัวอย่าง ประกอบด้วยสุราเถื่อนจาก 14 จังหวัดในประเทศไทย จำนวน 131 ตัวอย่าง สุราทั่วไปที่ผลิตและจำหน่ายในประเทศไทย 35 ตัวอย่าง และสุราต่างประเทศ 15 ตัวอย่าง โดยใช้วิธี gas-liquid chromatography และวิธี atomic absorption spectrophotometry เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาปริมาณสารอินทรีย์ระเหยและโลหะหนักตามลำดับ -
The serodiagnosis of aspergillosis was studied by producing antigens and antisera for detection of aspergillosis by immunodiffusion test. This finding indicated that immunodiffusion serodiagnosis technique is helpful for diagnosing antibodies in aspergillosis cases. Especially the reference antigens and antisera can be easily prepared in Thailand.
